TOURISM AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT ON LAND IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF
THE NEW DRUMOSSIE HOTEL, INVERNESS, ADJACENT TO THE B9177
MASTERPLAN PLANNING APPLICATION
An application for planning permission in detail was lodged on 16 October 2015 (see PL001A Site Plan and Phasing) for the phased layout and servicing (including access, parking, utilities, landscaping and public art) of land for development of a tourism and leisure complex comprising 48 lodges and apartments and buildings for commercial/leisure uses, reception, marketing/office and grounds maintenance accommodation, involving 5.1 ha. of land south of the New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness. The application is supported by a masterplan (see PL002A Indicative Layout-Masterplan) and a Masterplan: Design and Access Statement (see Design and Access Statement). The Masterplan is informed by an Economic Appraisal and Outline Business Case (MKA Economics); a Transport Assessment (ECS Transport Planning Ltd); a Drainage Impact Assessment (Envirocentre); a Landscaping Assessment (Connon Design Landscape Architects); and a European Protected Species Survey (Highland Ecology and Development).
3A Partnership Ltd is conducting pre-application consultation on the following development proposal:
-tourism and commercial development comprising holiday accommodation, related retail, leisure, catering and reception facilities, parking and landscaping.
This is an opportunity to help prepare proposals for a tourism/leisure development on land immediately south of the New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness, adjacent to the B9177.
The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan allocates 2.4 ha. of land for development. The Highland-wide Local Development Plan contains policies which support tourism and tourist accommodation proposals. The land is owned by 3A Partnership. The proposal concerns a tourism and commercial development comprising holiday accommodation, related retail, leisure, catering and reception facilities, parking, servicing and landscaping. 3A Partnership has lodged a Proposal of Application Notice in respect of the proposal.
A “drop in” public exhibition was held in the Chapel Room, InshesChurch on Thursday 3 September, 2015 from 3.00 – 6.30pm to obtain public views about the above development proposals. See undernoted samples of the exhibition boards.
