PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT FOR 16 HOUSES VIEWHILL, BALLOCH
SECOND STAGE PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Further to a first stage public consultation held in November 2010, a draft masterplan has been prepared for the above proposal.
This is a brownfield redevelopment proposal that contains building to the profile of the existing redundant and dilapidated agricultural sheds, avoids encroachment into the adjoining fields, involves upgrading the existing access and provides for 0.2 ha. of open space.
The proposal comprises ten detached dwellings and six in a courtyard composition and promotes a mix of traditional and modern architecture. It continues the linear settlement form and density of housing at Viewhill and reduces the existing buildings footprint at the site by approximately 60%.
